Connecting Your ERP or POS System

Connect QuickBooks, Shopify, ianai ERP, or other business systems to power your AI Employees.

Why Integrate?

Your AI Employee is only as useful as the data it can access. By connecting your ERP, accounting, or POS system, you give your AI Employee the ability to look up real-time business data and perform actions directly in your systems.

Supported Systems

  • ianai ERP — Full-featured ERP with complete access to all 149 tools. Supports sales, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, financial, and more.
  • QuickBooks Online — Popular accounting platform with strong coverage of invoicing, customers, vendors, inventory, and financial tools.
  • Shopify POS — Point-of-sale and e-commerce platform. Covers sales, customers, inventory, invoicing, and employee management.
  • Xero — Cloud accounting software (coming soon). Will support similar capabilities to QuickBooks.

Connecting QuickBooks Online

  1. Navigate to the Integrations page from the main menu.
  2. Find QuickBooks in the list of available integrations and click "Connect."
  3. You will be redirected to Intuit's authorization page. Sign in with your QuickBooks credentials.
  4. Grant ianai permission to access your QuickBooks data.
  5. You will be redirected back to ianai with a confirmation message.

Once connected, you will see a summary of available capabilities. QuickBooks supports around 113 of the 149 total tools, with strong coverage in invoicing, customers, inventory, and financial reporting.

Connecting Shopify

  1. Navigate to the Integrations page.
  2. Click "Connect" next to Shopify POS.
  3. Enter your Shopify store URL (e.g., your-store.myshopify.com).
  4. Follow the OAuth prompt to authorize ianai.
  5. Confirm the connection on the success page.

Shopify supports approximately 92 of the 149 tools. It excels at sales, customer, and inventory operations but does not include purchasing, vendor, or financial tools — those require a full ERP or accounting integration.

Connecting ianai ERP

If you are an ianai ERP customer, the connection is the simplest — your AI Employee platform and ERP share the same ecosystem. Navigate to Integrations, select ianai ERP, and authorize with your existing ianai credentials. You get immediate access to all 149 tools.

Capability Differences Between Integrations

Not all integrations offer the same capabilities. Here is a high-level comparison:

  • Sales, Invoicing, Customers, Inventory, Employees — Available on all platforms.
  • Vendors, Purchasing, Financial Reporting — Available on ianai ERP and QuickBooks, not available on Shopify.
  • Leads, Manufacturing — Available on ianai ERP only.
  • Coordinator tools — Full set on ianai ERP, partial on QuickBooks and Shopify.

Managing Connections

From the Integrations page you can view connection status, refresh credentials, or disconnect a system. Disconnecting an integration will pause all AI Employees that depend on it — they will not be able to access data or perform actions until a connection is restored.
